Landing Page CRO: How to Design High-Converting Sites
Optimize your landing page layouts, headlines, CTAs, and trust metrics to turn casual visitors into registered users.
The First Impression Moat
Your landing page has one job: convert traffic into users. If your conversion rate is below 2%, you have a copy or layout problem. Optimize your page hierarchy to address user doubts.
Clear beats clever. Don't write poetic slogans; state exactly what your product does, who it is for, and how it solves their problem.
1. Above-The-Fold Structure
The top section of your page must address three questions within 5 seconds:
- 1What is it?: Write a clear benefit-focused headline (e.g., 'Turn App Links into Social Slideshows in Seconds').
- 2How does it work?: Provide a short, explanatory subheadline outlining the process.
- 3What do I do next?: Display a prominent, high-contrast Call to Action (CTA) button.
2. Building Trust & Social Proof
Overcome visitor skepticism by embedding immediate trust indicators:
- 1Show Real Product Previews: Embed interactive dashboards, screenshots, or real output animations.
- 2Display Customer Testimonials: Use authentic reviews from active founders. Avoid fake avatars or anonymous quotes.
- 3Display Security Badges: Highlight secure checkouts and OAuth log-ins to assure data safety.
